Cartone sulle vicende quotidiane della protagonista, la dodicenne lentigginosa Angela, che abita a Tapwater Springs con mamma, papà, due fratelli e la cagnetta King. I suoi migliori amici sono la paffutella Gina, l'effeminato Gordy ed il timido Johnny. La loro insegnante, Mrs. Brinks, è un'eccentrica signora di mezza età dalla voce mascolina sempre pronta a decantare le qualità della compagna di classe ricca e snob Nanette Manoir; Angela, invece, detesta profodamente quest'ultima, sia per i suoi atteggiamenti altezzosi, sia il fatto che Nanette cerca sempre - spesso con successo - di metterla in cattiva luce davanti agli altri.

La serie, ideata da Joanna Ferrone e Sue Rose, è stata realizzata con una tecnica innovativa: tutti i personaggi sono stati creati tramite ritagli di fotografie in bianco e nero.
