Dirk, un coraggioso cavaliere, in sella al suo cavallo Bertram ed accompagnato dal suo fedele scudiero Timothy, è sempre pronto a battersi per difendere il suo regno e l'amata principessa Daphne; il suo principale rivale è un altro cavaliere, l'arrogante Hubert Blunt. Altri suoi avversari sono il drago Singe, i mostri di fango, il Re Lucertola ed il Cavaliere Fantasma.
