Nella città di McTropolis (parodia della Metropolis di Superman), un buffo gatto viola di nome Fl-eek (Eek, nella versione originale), essendo molto altruista, tenta sempre di aiutare il prossimo; tuttavia, nonostante le sue buone intenzioni, si ritrova sempre nei guai, dando vita a situazioni sempre più esilaranti.
Altri personaggi sono: la famiglia di umani di Wendy Elizabeth e Johnny Braincloud presso cui vive Fl-eek; la sua fidanzata, una grassa e golosissima - ma anche romantica e sensibile - gatta di nome Annabelle, di cui Fl-eek è innamoratissimo; il temibile Sharky, un cane dalle fattezze di squalo che fa la guardia alla casa dove vive Annabelle ed è costantemente in guardia e pronto ad aggredire chiunque varchi la soglia del suo giardino.
