Gowap, una specie di dinosauro goffo ed insaziabile, viene adottato dalla piccola Guendalina; i due, assieme ai loro amici Berto ed Elvira, vivranno ogni giorno delle divertenti avventure.

Il nome che Guendalina ha dato al buffo protagonista di questa serie è causato dal fatto che egli parla con un linguaggio incomprensibile, ripetendo spesso la parola gowap.
