Lady Gomma (Shmoo, nella versione originale) è un essere bianco e tondeggiante dotato di capacità metamorfiche, che usa la sua abilità per aiutare tre giovani reporters - Mickey, Billy Joe e Nita - che lavorano per il “Mighty Mysteries Comics” nelle loro investigazioni su casi in cui avvengono dei fenomeni paranormali (similmente a quanto avviene in Scooby Doo).

Il protagonista di questa serie animata è basato sugli Shmoo, personaggi creati da Al Capp per i fumetti di Li'l Abner.
Lady Gomma è doppiata da Anna Marchesini.
