Serie incentrata sulle vicende di un piccolo indiano di otto anni di nome Pow Wow e di una sua coetanea squaw, i quali ogni giorno cercano di proteggere la foresta dai pericoli che la minacciano e di salvare gli animali in difficoltà, curando anche le loro ferite. In caso di necessità, inoltre, Pow Wow può ricorrere anche all'aiuto dello sciamano della sua tribù.

Ne è stato prodotto anche un remake: Il piccolo indiano.
