Rivisitazione in versione fantascientifica delle imprese di Robin Hood.

In questa serie, Sherwood è un asteroide boscoso ubicato nei pressi del pianeta Notthingam: lì hanno trovato rifugio Robin ed i suoi compagni fuorilegge, i quali rappresentano l'unica speranza per la popolazione vessata dallo sceriffo e dal principe Giovanni. Al posto dei cavalli, essi utilizzano degli zaini a razzo - a cui fa riferimento il termine inglese rocket presente nel titolo della serie, che significa proprio "razzo" - e delle astronavi, mentre al posto delle armi medioevali vi sono elettrobastoni ed archi ipertecnologici.

Durante i viaggi spaziali, fra dimensioni alternative e pericoli cosmici, compaiono le schede tecniche dei vari personaggi.
