Serie parzialmente umoristica in cui un samurai, conosciuto da tutti come Jack, possiede una katana benedetta con la quale può sconfiggere il malvagio demone Aku, figlio del Male Puro che è giunto sulla Terra per portarvi morte, distruzione e corruzione. Poco prima di essere definitivamente sconfitto, però, Aku riesce a scaraventarlo in un vortice spazio-temporale che lo porta in un altro mondo, in cui creature di ogni tipo - come alieni, mutanti e robot - tentano di eliminarlo per ordine dello stesso demone. Il samurai tenta dunque, in ogni episodio, di sfuggire ai loro assalti e di aiutare chi subisce delle ingiustizie da Aku e dai suoi scagnozzi, mentra cerca un mondo per ritornare sulla Terra e sconfiggere definitivamente il suo terribile avversario.
