Il famoso detective Sherlock Holmes viene riportato in vita nel XXII secolo in un museo a lui dedicato, dove il suo corpo è stato conservato nel miele per ben due secoli, su ordine dell’ispettrice Beth Lestrade, che intende avvalersi dell'aiuto di Holmes - a cui verrà affidato come aiutante un androide con le sembianze e la memoria del suo storico assistente Watson - per mettere fine ai crimini perpetrati dal clone del perfido professor James Moriarty.

Ogni episodio di questa serie è un riadattamento in chiave futuristica di alcune delle vicende scritte da Arthur Conan Doyle.
